A day with Joe McNally @ Nikon London.

So I attended a day with the great Joe McNally, a photographer from NYC, a Nat Geo photographer and a Nikon Ambassador which are just a couple of his credits, we headed from Nikon in Margaret Street, London, to Wells Mews just a short walk away. But a great area for urban photos.

The day was primarily about speedlight photography through soft boxes for the outside shots. on location using the SB-5000, line of sight trigger for me, but this speedlight is also radio controlled with the higher end Nikon cameras.

Wells Mews, London...the scene for our urban shoot. The garage doors in particular have great character.

The head shot against the garage doors, good separation from the background.

Shot of the day for me. Kat leaping beneath the speedlight, shot through a rectangular soft box just above her. Love this photo.

Another take on that last photo. B&W also works I think.

A great day shooting. Thanks to Joe McNally, Neil Freeman, our models and all the Nikon School staff in London who helped with this.
